Koenji Awa Odori will be held over two days, Saturday and Sunday in the End of
August, around Koenji Station. The performances will take place from 5:00PM
to 8:00PM at eight designated stages near JR Koenji Statiopn and Tokyo
Metro Marunouchi Line Shin-Koenji Station.
A Festival That Revives Memories
Koenji is a unique neighborhood where the residences of urban office workers
blend with the local shopping streets that support their daily lives.
Into this vibrant community, the traditional hometown festival-Awa Odori-
has been transplanted
It brings back memories of times past, when families eagerly looked forward
to enjoying the festivities together.
