地下連絡通路は、夏の猛暑、冬の寒風から人々を守っているので、この地下連絡通路を使っていないともったいない。
特に、地上が大火災、富士山の噴火による火山灰などを避ける為には、この地下通路は大いに役にたつ。各大型ビルには大型の水タンクがあり、また、食堂などもあり、食料も蓄えてある。
ただし、地下道の大部分は深度が浅いために、核戦争の様な場合の避難には向いていない。この様な場合には、大きなビルの地下に逃げる事。

Shibuya underground passage
Shibuya has the west exit where young people can shop and eat from the
scramble intersection to 109 area
Also the east exit where men and women can commute through the ticket
gates of the Ginza Line, Hanzomon Line, Denentoshi Line, Toyoko Line, Fukutoshin
Line and work or shop in high rise buildings such as Hikarie, Scramble
Square, Stream, and Fukuras.
In order to move from the east(west) exit to the west(east) exit, you
will go up and down the pedestrian connecting the skyscrapers or walk on
the crowded ground but it will be a hard road for the elderly and mothers
pushing strollers.
