Omotesando-Shibuya Map

Walking from Shibuya: If you want to visit Japanese culture and history from Shibuya, we recommend the Shibuya - Harajuku - Omotesando course. You can see the modern Japan in Shibuya, the history of Japan by visiting Meiji-jingu Shrine in Harajuku, young people's culture on Takeshita Street, and adult culture in Omotesando.

When you go out to the main street (Meiji-dori) from Shibuya - Harajuku, Harajuku - Takeshita-dori, Takeshita-dori Street, turn right to the Jingumae intersection, turn left at the intersection and go to Omotesando intersection. If I have time to spare, I will go back to Shibuya again in Omotesando - Shibuya. The entire distance is about 4KM, So even if you stop by here and there and walk slowly, it will be about 2-3 hours.

(Topography of Shibuya)

Shibuya is the origin of the name of the Shibuyailiterally means bit valleyj clan, who built Shibuya Castle in 1092, but the topography is also the lowest in the valley. The Shibuya River was originally a stream flowing through the countryside, but as the population increased, it became a culvert from the effective use of the land, and a Promnade and Cat Street were built on it, and then it flowed along the JR tracks, but with the modernization of Miyashita Park, it flowed under Miyashita Park as a culvert,

Reference: The spring water of Kiyomasa Well in the Meiji Jingu Gyoen National Garden flows into the iris field and leads to Minami-ike Pond, passing through the JR railroad tracks to Takeshita-dori Street, from Takeshita-dori Street, through Brahms' Komichi, Mozart Street, and flows into the Shibuya River, which is now a Cat street.
